YOSO CD "Elements" to be released in July — 26 May 2010
YOSO's debut album "Elements" will be released in Europe and the US in July by Frontier Records. Here's the official press release:
Napoli, May, 2010 - The term "Super-Group" can only describe the band arising out of two of the most creative bands of the past 30 years:
YOSO is formed out of TOTO’s brilliant lead vocalist Bobby Kimball and the creative force of former YES members, Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood,
thus equalling the magic of YES with the voice of TOTO. However, YOSO is much more than a combination of two classic rock groups.
The band’s debut album "Elements" - which comes together with a bonus live CD where the band plays some old and new classics -
presents a fascinating combination of the sound of YES ("90125"/"Big Generator" era) and TOTO, with a very interesting and original sound
that truly encompasses the styles.
"Elements" will see the light of day on July 2nd in Europe and July 27th in the USA, where the band has already scheduled a number of tour dates
in support of the album’s release, on Frontiers Records.
Even though the band’s heritage is from 2 classic bands, YOSO intends to become its own identifiable entity in a very short time,
YOSO’s collective mission is to make the next decade one where YOSO’s music will be held up alongside their classic rock backgrounds
as a band as important as TOTO and YES.
Billy Sherwood recalls: "YOSO was started when I suggested to Bobby Kimball we should write some new music and form a band,
we had been working together on various tribute projects I was producing and one thing lead to another, before too long we had 5 songs
in the can and were well on our way to making a record and thinking seriously about taking it to the next level. Once there was a
few songs underway the concept grew into the band we now have, YOSO."
YOSO line-up was later rounded out with two amazingly gifted musicians: Johnny Bruhns as the guitarist and background vocalist and
Scott Conner on drums, percussion and background vocals.
YOSO does indeed have the magic of YES and the voice of TOTO. However, in 2010 the band intends to convince fans of both bands that
the brilliance of YOSO will be just as celebrated in the years to come.

Bobby about Toto performing in Europe — 20 April 2010
"I would like to extend my very best wishes to Toto, along with Joe Williams (my very good friend), and Nathan East (amongst the best bassists on the planet), for their short tour in Europe on their mission to help out Mike Porcaro, to ease a bit of his suffering. I think it's very commendable that Toto is making such a noble effort to help Mike during his time of need. Everything that has been done, and said on the Toto network, and the Toto Web Site has not gone unnoticed by Mike. Each and every comment everyone writes, touches his heart, and the more, the better.
I would have loved to have been on the dates with Toto to contribute to Mike's cause, but I feel very confident that the concerts will go really well, and Toto will be as great as usual on these dates. The worst date I've ever heard Toto do was "fantastic". I ask that you go out and support the cause, and I promise you will walk away from these concerts knowing you've been blessed with some of the best music possible.
I spoke with Joe last week, and he's very excited about doing the dates. I wished him my best on this tour, and I hope all of you will attend these great concerts and know that you're providing strength to a very worthy cause, not to mention, you'll be entertained beyond belief. Just know that my heart will be there with you all, and God bless Toto for making this all possible. I hope you all have a great time, and I would love to be there with you to enjoy the band.

Bobby to be inducted into LMHOF — 14 April 2010
Bobby Kimball will soon be inducted into the
"The Louisiana Musician's Hall of Fame" for writers and performers.
He is very pround and honored:
"This is a great distinction for me, because this is where my musical roots are from, and for me, the music from Louisiana is amongst the best there is.
The "Birth of the Blues and New Orleans Jazz" originated there, and some of the most renowned musicians in the world made their music known world-wide
in the deep South.
I was a huge fan of The Lloyd Price Band while growing up in Louisiana, and he will be at the ceremony.
I'll get to meet one of my heroes and hang out with him. The list of musicians who will perform is not complete, as yet,
but the names on the list include Dr. John, Alan Toussant, and several of the members of the "Inductees".
This is a great moment in my life as a musician, to be recognized by the people from my Home State.
Though I left there many years ago, I still feel like it's my home, and I can't wait to be back amongst the people I grew up listening to,
and playing for, in my early years in music. There is such a pride in the hearts of those who reside in Louisiana,
it's very hard not to like being there. It will always feel like Home to me, and what an honor to go there to become a member
of such a revered cast of musical characters."

New tour dates for September and January — 26 August 2009
Bobby has been very busy the past months recording a new solo CD with his own band that will be finished soon. We'll have more information on this in the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, he has scheduled lots of new tour dates for the upcoming months. First, he will play some shows with Chris Thompson in the
Netherlands in September. In January 2010, he'll embark on a German tour with a project called "Rock Meets Classic", also featuring Lou Gramm and
Dan Cafferty as well as a symphonic orchestra and choir. Check out all the dates and details on the Tour Dates page.

Falling In Between Live Double CD — 11 October 2007
"Falling In Between Live", the new Double CD in stereo audio featuring the full Paris show from March 2007 will be released in Europe on October 29th!
The US release will follow in early 2008, Japan and Far East are still to be confirmed. The DVD will be released worldwide in early 2008.
Bobby to participate in cover band contest — 2 October 2007
Bobby Kimball will preside over the jury for the final concert of the contest "BATTLE OF THE TOTO COVER BAND" October 18th, 2007 9pm
at Magazzini Generali, Milan, Italy, via Pietrasanta 14. The CDs of the bands were heard by Bobby Kimball and the staff of GGM Studios.
Two bands were then decided upon from that collaboration for the contest finals. When the winner is picked, Bobby will sing one or two songs
with the winning band.

Hurricane Katrina at The Key Club in Hollywood on Sunday, September 18th.

Luke, Bobby & David to join benefit event — 11 August 2005
Legendary members of Toto, Steve Lukather, Bobby Kimball and David Paich as well as Heaven & Earth, Howard Leese of Heart,
Albert Lee and Ray Parker Jr. will join others to jam at the House of Blues on Sunset and celebrate over 30 years of music. Bringing them together for one night on August 23rd is the Calabasas Magazine Music Party benefiting The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and celebrating THE MUSIC ISSUE. The night will be hosted by the voice of classic rock, KLOS-FM’s Bob Coburn. It is hoped the line up will be joined by other surprise guests that will all be a part of the exciting evening.
The event will show off the sounds of many of the hottest voices in music and offer a look back at the roots of
the local Los Angeles rock scene as described in THE MUSIC ISSUE. This latest issue also touts original photos
and updated interviews with other top artists and bands including Devo, The Knack and Chicago’s James Pankow.
"From rockers to rappers, pianists to percussionists and up-and-comers to top-of-their-gamers, this issue celebrates
musicians from virtually every genre and generation under the sun. The quality of the artists in the West Valley area
blew us away," says Calabasas Magazine Editor in Chief Richard Bleiweiss.
"As you will hear from these artists’ performances, the valley can stack up its musical talent against any
region in the world and emerge with its head held high."
A portion of the evening’s ticket sales will benefit The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, a charity that

Bobby Kimball will be working with Auric Hörsysteme at the Frankfurt Musikmesse from April 6th - April 9th this year
and also perform at their booth twice a day, approximately at 11 am and 3 pm. Since Bobby will be very busy the
exact times will be scheduled at short notice, so please ask at the Auric booth (5_6.1 A13) for details.
Bobby will also be the special guest of "The Real Groove Band" at the Agora stage
on Friday, April 8th at 1 pm and 4.30 pm and on Saturday, April 9th at 5 pm.

Bobby on the Puerto Rico show and the new album — 16 February 2005
"The show in Puerto Rico went very well. The press had rave reviews about it, so it looks like we'll be
going back there as soon as the new CD is done. Our promoter likes the band and is a real Toto fan.
Dave is working hard on the new CD, but is far too hemmed in with things to attend in LA to go out
on the road for any stretch. We now have two permanent keyboard players and we love them both.
Greg will also be working on the CD with us, so he will stay up on the current project as well as the former ones.
Dave's position is so hard to replace, we've very fortunate indeed to have the likes of Greg Phillingaines
to stand in his shoes. We're very proud of the fact we have a couple of the "best there is" keyboardists
available to us. Come what may, it's not a losing situation by any means....................Bobby"

Bobby to perform at benefit soccer match — 25 January 2005
Bobby Kimball continues to help raise money for the Tsunami victims tonight at a benefit soccer match between
the German international team and an all star team from the Bundesliga. During the half-time break he will perform
the John Lennon classic "Imagine" together with the Soulmates. The match will be broadcast live from 19.25 on ZDF
and can be viewed throughout Europe FTA via the Astra satellite system.

Bobby Kimball will take part in a German benefit TV show called "Wir wollen helfen - Ein Herz für Kinder" which is
raising money for the tsunami victims in the Far East. The show will be broadcast live on Tuesday, 4th January
at 20.15 CET on ZDF. This channel can be received throughout Europe via the Astra satellite system.
During the show you can help the victims by calling a special telephone hotline.

"Membership area" poll — 29 July 2004
As Bobby is getting lots of e-mail asking for advice on vocal issues, he's thinking about
establishing a special "Members Only" area on his website with vocal tips, advice and a chance to send in your own
mp3 or video files to be showcased on the website. Plus, for all non-vocalists,
there would be special pictures, scoop stories, contests etc.
To see if there's enough interest in putting that on the page, we have set up a Poll
where you can speak your mind.

After his return home from Europe Bobby has taken the time to reply to lots of fan mail that came in
since the website launch.
E-mail Bobby! — 15 July 2004
From today you can e-mail Bobby directly if you want to say Hi or have a specific question. His e-mail address is
bobby@bobbykimball.com.
Please use a reasonable subject that helps Bobby identify your e-mail as genuine fanmail.
Do not use subjects like "Hi" or "Hello" as these are often abused by spam and virus mails.
Bobby will do his very best to check his account at least once a week and get back to all the one's he can.
Also remember, if you have questions whose answers might be of general interest for other fans as well, you can continue
to send them in via the Q & A section.
Message from Bobby — 29 June 2004
Bobby is in Holland right now and sent in a special message to all the fans:
"I want to let the fans know that I appreciate everything they've done to make this all possible.
It's more "your website" than mine. I hope we can make it very useful, and a good place to visit from time to time.

New tour setlist a surprise — 19 June 2004
TOTO will play a whole new set on the upcoming European summer tour which is supposed to remain a surprise until the
tour starts. However, Bobby gave us a few hints about what to expect:
"We're trying to keep it under wraps until the last minute. I can tell you I'm doing at least 3 songs that
I've never sung before (nor did I record them). This is going to make for a very exciting tour for me,
as I have to really be on my toes every night. We had a week of great rehearsals and I'm certain the fans
are going to get their money's worth on this trip out. The set is great and fun for the band as well."
Bobby Kimball on German TV — 15 April 2004
Bobby Kimball will take part in the German TV show "50 Jahre Rock" which will air on Saturday April 17th at 20:15
on ZDF. He will be singing "Smoke On The Water" along with Chris Thompson, for Jon Lord of Deep Purple.
He'll also be co-singing one song from the Mandoki Soulmates CD and doing some backing vocals for Chris Thompson
on "Blinded By the Light", some for Peter Frampton on "Baby I Love Your Way", and some other guests.
Bobby at the Frankfurt Musikmesse — 19 March 2004
Bobby Kimball will be working with Electro-Voice at the Frankfurt Musikmesse from March 31st - April 3rd this year.
He'll also be part of "The Real Groove Band" doing some funk and rock songs several times a day. The complete line-up is
Wolf Simon (dr), Frank Itt (b), Ralf Erkel (k), Mario Argandona (perc), Frank Reudenbach (voc), Jens Skwirblies (keyb),
Jim Lupino (g), Bobby Kimball (voc.). Please note that the Musikmesse is only open to trade visitors
from March 31st to April 2nd. Public visitors admission only on April 3rd! You can find the complete schedule for

"Night Of The Proms" tour started — 20 Oct 2003
On Friday the Night Of The Proms tour has started in Antwerpen. To get a first impression of what's going on at the
shows and beyond, here's a message from Bobby Kimball:
"It seems to be going very well out here with the orchestra. It's always been a dream of mine to play with
Toto and an orchestra. We're playing a short song list, but it's a very long show. So far we're doing Child's Anthem,
Rosanna, Africa, I Won't Hold You Back, Stop Loving You, and Hold the Line. At the end of the show, all of the
performers are brought out to sing on Hey Jude.
Tony Spinner is with us and, as you may have guessed, he's singing Stop Loving You.
I think each night will bring something interesting for us and that's what makes it so fun. We're all having a great time
blending together on this tour, and who knows, we may just, come out of the tour with another Toto CD ready to be
recorded. I hope all of the Toto fans get a chance to see this show,.......well worth the venture. Later.......Bobby"
Bobby to join Kayak on stage — 10 August 2003
Bobby Kimball will join Dutch rock band Kayak on stage performing the role of Lancelot
at a special rendition of Kayak's rock opera 'Merlin, Bard of the Unseen', that will take place
on August 20th at the Tromp festival near the Dutch town of Ter Heijde aan Zee. Bobby will sing
the duet 'Friendship and Love' together with guest singer Petra Berger, as Guinevere. For more

Bobby Kimball about the Night of the Proms — 16 June 2003
"All of us (TOTO) are looking forward to playing with the orchestra on Night of the Proms.
The kind of music Toto plays lends itself readily to great orchestration, so it's kind of like
the musical idea we had in the first place coming to life. As I missed the first outing with
Night of the Proms, I especially look forward to this experience. It's yet another dream come
true for all of us................Bobby Kimball"
